Any believer does not live for himself but for Christ whom he has given his life. He becomes a new creature in Christ and all things had to passed away and all things have become new. “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new.” II Corinthians 5:17, (KJV). Following a new creature in Christ, certain signs shall follow him because he is no longer an ordinary but an extraordinary person. By faith, we can get away with many things, even trample on the witches and their witchcraft and it shall not hurt us. Praise God!
“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:1-6, (KJV). Now let us dissect the above paragraph and determine what it means to be a new creature in Christ and a born again. They are the same. In the case of Uncle Nicodemus, he was looking at the miracles of the King Jesus and also His level of wisdom. He knew that the Hand of the Lord was upon Him, hence he went to him in the night. He did not mention the kingdom in his question, but the Lord knew his mind hence He told him “that a man cannot enter the kingdom of God except, he is born again’. King Jesus used the phrase ‘born again’ while Apostle Paul used the term ‘new creature’.
Although our Lord taught through parables, in clear terms, He taught Uncle Nicodemus that he cannot get into the Kingdom of God without a kingdom mindset. You cannot be what you are not until you become what you are or what you want to be. You can only be in the kingdom when you set your mind on it and believe it to be true. Take for example the Lord, was getting miracles because He believes in miracles, otherwise, it would have been impossible for him to do them.
Miracles cannot go to those who do not believe in miracles but looking for those who are looking for them. You cannot get what you do not have because everything good or evil is created in your heart. The Father is a miracle, King Jesus is another miracle and we are also miracles. It is much easier to get your miracles when you know about them and believe in them.
Your reality could be an illusion because it is created in your heart and you have the power to change it if you do not want it. If you are broke, you can take to heart that Christ was rich and was made poor that we might become rich. If you are sick, you must take comfort that Christ took many strips so that we do not get sick. Remember also that He took our sins and He who knew no sin was made sin so that we might become the righteousness of God. Therefore, where sin abounds, grace abounds the more. When it comes to death, He has already died for us and conquered death for us and it has no string on us. It is a belief system.
If you believe in the promise of prosperity, your thought system will help you to find a way to create that wealth even if you are poor. In the same way, your heart will help you to keep well if you believe in staying well and the same applies to life and death.
I saw a man who talks about sickness all the time you see him. One of the days, I had to pray for him and asked him to stop thinking and talking sickness after this prayer because I knew the Lord touched him. Some days of weeks passed and I saw him and he said ‘since I stop thinking of sickness, I have been well’. You new person is in you. Your salvation is in you. He has already declared that if we believe, we cannot taste death and if we have already died, we shall come back to life. Anybody can go to the kingdom of God, but he must have that kingdom mentality or mindset.
Apostle Paul was emphasizing the ‘born again’ of Jesus when he was teaching the doctrine of a new creation. You do not have to go back to your mother’s womb as taught by the Lord Jesus, but requires renewal of your mind. The reinvention of one’s self through thoughts and mind development. A new spirit in a new mindset. You need to be born with water which is used for cleansing and the Spirit which is the power of God living in you. Before you can become that born again or new creature, you must renew your mind by going through the process of retraining your mind from the old which was filled with fears, doubts and negative mindset.
A born again or new creature is one who has renewed his mind or thinking. He has developed a mental attitude like Apostle Paul, who mimicked Christ in all his ways. The man of God who created a niche of faith for himself worth emulation. After his encounter with the Lord at Damascus, he became a born again of the Spirit before the water which cleansed him from the blood of the saints which they shed.
He became a disciple and shepherd from his old way of persecuting the same. When the Lord touched him, he became a new creature and stopped looking and seeing things from his old way but looking at them from a different perspective and seeing differently.
This is because there is no way you can see differently when you continue to look at the same thing with the same eyes in the same manner. To be a new person, you must develop your heart because it is in the heart. You must create a new belief system because there is no way you can get to the kingdom of God without being born again or creating the kingdom mentality in you.
Your heart is the engine that drives your life, you must focus the mind to the kingdom of God to be able to get to the kingdom. You fashion it the way you would want to live, success or failure, heaven or hell. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good, and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh”. Luke 6:45, (KJV).
