The Mindset Of A Conqueror.

A conqueror is a victor over the enemies.  He contested and won the contest because there is no way a person can become a winner or conqueror without winning a contest or battle.  There must be a contest before victory or conquest. Conquest is usually associated with the military and wars but does not have to be confined to nations and kingdoms. It may not be just between neighbours, but a person can battle in his heart. Most battles are fought, lost or won in the heart.  He is a person who has passed the test by going through the hurdles and obstacles. We have all gone through battles one way or the other. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. (Ephesians 6:12-13). A conqueror must  have the desire and the determination to achieve his targets or results.

He is never afraid of challenges, he has the spirit of an over-comer. He plans his men, equipment and other resources to engage his enemies. His mindset is set on victory, conquering, winning and loosing or defeat is not part of his thinking or option no matter his opponents.  He believes in all things and that he can do all things through Christ who strengthens him.  A man who has the heart of a lion and considering that the lion is not the biggest animal in the jungle neither the fastest animal in the jungle but is the king of the jungle.  He is never afraid of anybody nor gets intimated by others.  A man of love, peace, full of wisdom and understanding. For wisdom strengtheneth the wise more than ten mighty men which are in the city. (Ecclesiastes 7:19)  He does not give in to the blackmails of his foes but stands by the truth.  His mind-set is full of courage, wisdom, triumph, victory, hard work and will not burg to the pressures of his enemies.  He considers any negative thoughts as evil and deletes them immediately they come into his mind.  He does not waste time thinking wrong or negatives because he does not want to create what he does not want in his life as thoughts creates realities. He keeps away from avoidable battles because he is prudent with his resources including his time.

All battles and wars are fought and won in the heart, be it in your family, business, ministry, poverty, sickness and even your lifestyle.  Victory or loss is a belief system and in other words, it is your mindset.  It is only your faith that will carry you through.  Jesus said to the lady with the blood issue, ‘your faith has made you whole, go in peace’. (Mark 5:34).  ‘Now unto him, that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us’.  Ephesians 3:20.  It is your faith or belief system which worketh in you.  He has his own mind and is not influenced or swayed by what others are saying or thinking of him.  He believes in his belief and has his own mind.  A man of his own mind and knows where he is heading to.  He believes that this world is a level or plain field and could not see why he could contemplate failure while others are succeeding and could not see any competitive advantage over him from any other person irrespective of race, gender, environment, age or social class.  He believes that he will succeed where every other person fail.

He has the spirit of boldness, power and of sound mind, he is never a coward neither is he afraid of evil tiding.  He has his heart always fixed looking up and trusting in the Lord.  He sees challenges and obstacles as the means of getting to the next level. Otherwise, a stepping stone.  He has the tenacity and does not believe in the spirit of subjugation and dares oppression.  He fights for truth and justice and equity and stands up for the weak and poor. He does not give up, quitting or contemplate as such.  Always focused and an achiever.

He believes in the truth, speaks the truth and dwells in the truth because that is his only source of freedom and income.  He is proactive, inspires and motivates himself and those around him.  He works in the company of like-minded people – that is the mind-set or the spirit of conquering.  He is never poor because he does not believe in the poverty mentality and does not believe in getting sick because sickness and death are not in his vocabulary.  He does not even remember them instead walks and dwell on success, prosperity, greatness, love, joy, holiness and peace.  A man of pure consciences, good heart and of an excellent spirit.

He is always very smart in appearance, cheerful, lovely, brisk in his steps and believes that this world is an awesome one which the Lord has made for us to rejoice and to be glad in.  He has little or no time to listen to bad news,  read unhealthy novels and books.  He listens and takes instructions and increases in learning, knowledge, wisdom and understanding.  He prays always and listens to the LORD to direct his steps.

He does not believe in mediocrity instead thinks big and large, dreams big, a man of vision and of extraordinary integrity. He plans his life and look well to his goings and does not take every word as correct.  He is very agile, quick in his thinking, creative, innovative and does not procrastinate.  He gets the bull quickly and holds it by the horn.  He does not go for the cheap but for the best and believes that if he goes for good, he will reap the good,  and if he goes for the better, he would reap better and for the best, he will get the best.  He works with the spiritual laws of sowing and reaping or of curse and reward  which states that ‘whatsoever a man sows that he shall reap’.  He concluded that ‘as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he’. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”. Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
